Before Friday night's game against New Mexico State, Louisiana coach Bob Marlin said if the Cajuns got off to a bad start and didn't rebound the basketball, they would be in trouble.

They did, they didn't, and they were.

Everything that could go wrong did for the Cajuns in the first half and the Aggies rolled to a 79-57 win over the Cajuns at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

The Cajuns (2-3) shot just 18 percent (5-27) in the first half, including 1-16 in two point tries and fell behiind 41-18 at the break.

Freshman Steven Wronkoski had a career high 16 points to lead the Cajuns.  Shawn Long added 15 before fouling out.

The Cajuns were whistled for 26 fouls to 13 for New Mexico State (3-3).  The Cajuns were hit with 14 fouls in the first half alone and were outshot at the line 36-13.

The Cajuns now head to East Lansing, MI for a meeting with nationally ranked Michigan State.  Tip is scheduled for 11am.
