South Florida Woman Receives a $201,000 Cell Phone Bill

A South Florida woman was in shock being that her latest cell phone bill is $201,000!!! Yes, when she opened her monthly cell phone bill, she was greeted with a massive size "Amount Due" bill. Celina Aarons has her two deaf-mute brothers on her plan. They communicate by texting and use their phones to watch videos. Normally, that's not a problem. Aarons has the appropriate data plan and her bill is about $175.

The problem this month came when her brothers crossed the border and went into Canada, unaware that the plan they were on would no longer be active. International charges would soon start to mount up, and they continued using their cell phones as they did back home. Her brothers sent over 2,000 texts and also downloaded videos, sometimes racking up $2,000 in data charges.

Thankfully, T-mobile agreed to lower the bill to a more manageable $2,500 and gave Aarons six months to pay up. I am sure she is grateful that the company understood her situation and that they, T-Mobile, have allowed her an extended period of time to pay back her reduced balance.
