St. Landry Parish President Bill Fontenot declared a state of emergency and curfew today in preparation for tomorrow's weather forecast, which looks to bring temperatures below 25 degrees and icy precipitation.

Cheryl Castille, assistant to the president, said the curfew is in effect Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Road closures will be in effect once the streets begin icing over.
