One week ago, it was revealed that one fan is suing Rae Sremmurd for negligence, assault and battery after claiming the rap duo caused permanent damage to his nose when they allegedly launched a water bottle at him during one of their shows last October. Now, it appears Swae Lee is fighting back.

Speaking with the folks at TMZ, the talented vocalist announces his plans for legal retaliation. "I'm about to countersue," Lee says tells the TMZ reporter. "'Cause he lying and he finna cause me stress. I'm finna countersue."

After revealing his legal plans, the reporter asks Lee about the basis of his defense. Lee answers, "Because I do like 3,000 shows, but I never threw a bottle off stage, and Jimmy never threw a bottle off stage, so these are false accusations, so I'm 'bout to countersue."

Lee and Jimmy may be facing some legal trouble, but things have been going pretty well for the duo as of late. Recently, the two popped up in a new trailer for Madden NFL 18. They're also knee-deep in their forthcoming album, SremmLife 3. Speaking with us at the Madden NFL 18 release party, the two rappers gave some insight into their latest project.

"I think this project is going to show our growth," Jimmy explained at the time. "It’s going to be us, but more mature, but it’s still going to be the same good vibes. The same good music. the same fun, you know what I’m saying?"

Sounds good. Check out a video of Swae Lee's interview with TMZ below.
