T.I. Fires Back at Critics Hating on His 2Pac-Inspired Outfit at 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

T.I.'s attempt to pay homage to the late great 2Pac at the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, by rocking a very similar outfit to the one Shakur wore on the cover of an edition of the 1996 New York Times, has some people trying to call the rapper out on social media. Never one to hold his tongue, the Kang is firing back.

Posting a picture from last night side-by-side with 'Pac's 1996 getup, Tip fired off at his detractors. "Guess you just had to be there.... Y'all young,forever commentating,over-opinionated muuuufuckaz got shit to say ALWAYS," he typed. "When the Biggie shit went left because a muuuufucka from YALL Generation forgot the words y'all had a fuckin FIT!!! Now some Real ni66az wit Real love in they hearts get up & dedicate themselves to honor the legacy of a True American HipHop Rock&Roll Legend,that would make Him & His Family Proud.... It's some negative shit to be said about that as well."

The Atlanta rapper was part of a musical medley dedicated to the iconic MC. Alicia Keys started things off singing, “I Ain’t Mad at Cha” and “Ambitionz As a Ridah,” while playing piano. Snoop and YG teamed up to perform “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.” Naughty by Nature’s Treach, performed “Hail Mary” and T.I. covered “Keep Ya Head Up.”
