T.I. Gets Mocked on Twitter for His ‘Roots’ Promo Photo

T.I. is just as familiar with spitting bars as he is with acting. So when Tip posted a promo picture of his character in the upcoming Roots mini-series for the History Channel, he got mocked endlessly on Twitter.

The self-proclaimed King of the South recently shared a still of himself on set of the slavery epic. While many fans cheered him on, some saw the Atlanta rhymer's image as an instant joke and took the opportunity to make him the target of memes. The T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle star is known for his wordy vocabulary and jokster took note when mocking the rappers latest role.

"I am extremely perturbed by the allegations that I am not wholeheartedly committed to the Union and their ideology," a fan joked on Twitter in response to the image. Meanwhile, others thought Tip's hat, which always stays tilted to the side, was hilarious.

T.I. has been flexing his acting chops in the both comedic and gangsta roles. So this will be a challenge as he plays a figure during the period of slavery in this newest rendition of Alex Haley's Roots.
