Taco, Hot Dog, Cheese Amongst 41 New Emojis In Latest Unicode Update

Finally—the wait is over. The latest unicode update includes the heavily requested taco, hot dog and cheese emojis, amongst numerous others.

I know what you're thinking—How have we made it this far without the ability to express our love for tacos? How have we managed to even tolerate conversations without being able to throw the cheese block emoji in the mix?

Well, wonder no more.

The latest Unicode update includes new food emojis that the smartphone-clutching public has been begging for. The taco, hot dog and cheese emojis are only the tip of an iceberg of characters that include a champagne bottle popping, a unicorn face and even a head with a bandage—for all those times you needed to describe bleeding from your skull.

In addition to the new food emojis, the 41 new characters include religious symbols, facial expressions, sports-related emojis and more.

This Unicode update includes the diverse skin tone emojis that Apple rolled out a few weeks back, so we should be seeing these new characters really soon!
