The 11th annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl matchup will feature the San Diego State Aztecs of the Mountain West Conference and Louisiana-Lafayette’s Ragin’ Cajuns of the Sun Belt Conference on December 17, 2011. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has announced changes to their upcoming graduation ceremonies in lieu of a Cajun's bowl appearance on the same day as graduation, Dec. 17th

Hundreds of eager UL Ragin Cajun fans packed the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility Monday night to hear the announcement they have been waiting for. That announcement, that the UL Ragin Cajuns would be participating in The New Orleans Bowl on December 17th inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome.

What a great season for the Ragin Cajun football team, we're undefeated at home this year and headed into the final game against Arizona at 8 and 3! Following an amazing come back last Saturday night at Cajun Field, Head Football Coach Mark Hudspeth got chocked-up while being interviewed by Steve Peloquin of ESPN 1420. The Cajuns defeated ULM 36-35 in an amazing fourth quarter comeback. The University & UL Football has requested that for their final home game of the year, Saturday Nov. 5th at 2:30pm, against UL-Monroe that fans "whiteout" the stadium. The team and university have requested that all UL fans and students wear white shirts to the game. We have seen many stadiums pull this off before, but this may be a first for Cajun Field.

As the UL football team heads into a match this Saturday at Cajun Field against Florida Atlantic, there is a buzz in Acadiana surrounding the Ragin Cajuns. Today, April 15th, we were invited to be part of the annual UL Tour where fans, faculty, staff, and coaches visit local merchants that sell UL Merchandise. Yes, we went to many local stores that have littered their stores with Red & White.
