Police say they are searching the school as a precaution.
Earlier this morning Broussard Middle School administrators were informed that a student had written on a bathroom stall’s wall that there was a “pressure-cooker bomb” on the school’s campus.
On Monday, the LSU campus was evacuated due to a bomb threat. According to our sister station KPEL 96.5, an arrest has been made in connection with that bomb threat. An LSU Police Department spokesperson says that the suspect, William Bouvay, 42, of Baton Rouge, has been arrested and charged with communicating false information of a planned bombing. Bouvay is not an LSU student.
