A redditor who goes by the handle of Freebass was staying at the W in Minneapolis Wednesday when he noticed a familiar face in the hotel’s otherwise empty bar.

It was none other than Dave Chappelle, and Freebass started chatting with the comic legend around midnight. The conversation just kept flowing and when last call was came at 2 AM Chappelle suggested that he, Freebass and a couple other randoms make their way to a nearby hookah bar / Middle Eastern restaurant.

Earlier today, The Daily reported that ‘Chappelle’s Show’ funnyman Dave Chappelle was planning a return to TV after a six-year hiatus.

“Dave Chappelle’s going back to TV,” an insider said. “It’s not for a network. It’s for Netflix or Crackle or some other subscription service.”
