I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure to visit one of my favorite restaurants in Acadiana for one of my "Eat Lafayette" assignments, "Fezzo's Seafood, Steakhouse, and Oyster Bar" in Scott, La.

Ticket holders to last night's event were able to experience many of the signature dishes that make local Lafayette restaurants a success.

Eat Lafayette opened up their 10th year of successfully promoting local restaurants at a press conference on Thursday hosted by the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.

For the latests stop on my Eat Lafayette Tour, I got the chance to check out the ever popular lunch establishment in the South College Shopping Center, Twins Burgers & Treats.

For this visit on my Eat Lafayette tour I was fortunate enough to visit Rochetto's Pizzeria in Scott. I am a frequent visitor to this establishment because I love their "Cajun Rage Pizza." However, as I will soon learn, there is much more than just delicious pizza on the menu.

One of my favorite local restaurants to visit in the Lafayette area is Fezzo's in Scott, La. I am huge fan of their seafood platter, but with this visit I may now a new favorite at the establishment.

OK, I'll admit it, I haven't visited every food joint in Acadiana...at least not yet. One that was on my list just got scratched off as I had the pleasure to dine at Antlers for the Eat Lafayette campaign, promoting locally owned restaurants and their delicious food.

2Paul's BBQ has quickly become a staple in Lafayette when it comes to dining out and when it comes to getting your hands on some delicious BBQ. 2Paul's is located off of Johnston St near Albertson's at South College. I had the pleasure of sampling a few of their entrees and was pleasantly surprised by the desert they offer at 2Paul's BBQ.

La Fonda is known for it's atmosphere, great mexican food, and lunches on Friday that end up spilling into Happy Hour. Located just of Johnston St. this amazing restaurant has been a staple in Lafayette for close to 40 years now. I had the pleasure of being served by Ronnie, one of the best in the biz, who has been at La Fonda almost as long as their doors have been open.

My first stop for the dine around during our Eat Lafayette campaign was at the World Famous Cajun Restaurant...Prejean's!!! Prejean's, located off of I-49 near Carencro, is known for their Cajun cuisine and authentic Cajun entertainment.

For my first adventure in the Eat Lafayette campaign, I couldn't have picked a better diamond.  Cafe Habana City not only has great food and amazing service, but the killer summer atmosphere is also a plus.  If you didn't have a chance to go to the beach this summer, consider this your vacation....5 minutes from home.

My first dine-around this year for the 2012 Eat Lafayette campaign was at Rachael's Cafe on Republic Ave. Located right next to Bob's Pub off Kaliste Saloom the restaurant was right in the middle of everything, but ducked off just enough for it to be the perfect hideaway for a great meal.
