The NFL granted New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees' request to allow currently suspended head coach Sean Payton to attend Sunday night's game against the San Diego Chargers at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The hits keep coming for the New Orleans Saints (no pun intended) as player suspensions were finally handed down from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell surrounding the seemingly never ending New Orleans Saints 'Bountygate' scandal. Four players were suspended in total including former Saints defensive players Anthony Hargrove and Scott Fujita. Current Saints defensive end Will Smith was suspended for four games and linebacker Jonathan Vilma was banned for the entire 2012 season.
