Better late than never? Not so much, but regardless, NFL spokesperson Greg Aiello just revealed via Twitter, the league's statement regarding the Saints bounty appeal hearing.
The Who Dat Nation has an extra reason to be excited as we go into this weekend. Not only are the Saints opening the 2012 season at home against the Washington Redskins on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but WWL New Orleans is reporting that a three member arbitration panel has vacated the suspensions of NFL players Jonathan Vilma, Will Smith, Scott Fujita and Anthony Hargrove.
The hits keep coming for the New Orleans Saints (no pun intended) as player suspensions were finally handed down from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell surrounding the seemingly never ending New Orleans Saints 'Bountygate' scandal. Current Saints defensive end Will Smith was suspended for four games and linebacker Jonathan Vilma was banned for the entire 2012 season.
