As more and more teachers journey towards the State Capitol in Baton Rouge to voice their opinions and concerns towards state legislatures and other government officials, many school districts around Acadiana have no option but to shut the doors while the educators exercise their right to protest. Thousands of educators are protesting Governor Jindal's education reform in Baton Rouge, yet schools simply do not have enough "man power" to accommodate all of it's students.

LSU Grad Student Benjamin Haas Decides Against Burning Flag as Thousands Counter-Protest [NSFW VIDEO]
Yesterday an LSU grad student's plans to burn an American flag in a peaceful protest was cut short when thousands of LSU students showed up to counter-protest the unpatriotic move. Benjamin Haas, a communication studies graduate student tried to read a prepared statement as an estimated 1,500 to 2,500 students and community members chanted things like "U-S-A" and threw water balloons and ice at him.
