The days of "texting and driving" may soon one day be a thing of the past!!! Ford Motor Company is installing a feature in its new vehicles -- and many of its older ones -- that can read text messages out loud. The purpose behind this latest upgrade is to limit the amount of "texting and driving" by those in Ford vehicles, and it is all part of of their latest voice-activated technology, Sync.
A South Florida woman was in shock being that her latest cell phone bill is $201,000!!! Yes, when she opened her monthly cell phone bill, she was greeted with a massive size "Amount Due" bill. Celina Aarons has her two deaf-mute brothers on her plan. They communicate by texting and use their phones to watch videos. Normally, that's not a problem. Aarons has the appropriate data plan and her bill is about $175.

Too many lives have been taken by this senseless practice, and now Lafayette's Chief Of Police, Jim Craft, is addressing the problem we have here in Lafayette. The chief gives some rather disturbing statistics in this video, and even offers some great advice to all citizens.

Now I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it's probably not real safe to be filming someone texting while driving while you're driving, but regardless, tell your kids, tell your wife, tell everyone that it's still not safe to text and drive (as well as not legal).
