31-year-old Yousef Balbeisi was identified this afternoon as a shooting victim in an early morning Lafayette home invasion. Yousef is the younger brother of Nadel Balbeisi, owner of the popular Zeus franchise in Acadiana and General Manager of one of the many Zeus locations. Balbeisi was shot after confronting the person who broke into his Mimosa Place residence around 5 A.M. this morning according to Corporal Paul Mouton.
