Target has announced they will be closing a dozen stores across the country, but not until after the holidays.

The chain says they are closing stores as part of a natural process of trying to refine its portfolio of stores, weaning out the losers while expanding with promising new ones.

While some stores will be closing, Target has opened up 32 new stores in 2017.

The 12 stores being closed will stay open through the holiday season before shutting down on February 3.
