Television Icon Andy Griffith Dead At Age 86 [VIDEO]

TMZ is reporting that Television Icon Andy Griffith has died. Andy Griffith known for his days on "The Andy Griffith Show," passed away at his home in Manteo, North Carolina this morning.Griffith also starred in the long-running series, "Matlock" and was a guest on other shows, including "Dawson's Creek." Something I was not aware of is that Griffith was a Grammy Award Winner for his days as a Gospel Singer.

In 2005 the Television Icon was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President George W. Bush. I personally will always remember him as the sheriff in "The Andy Griffith Show" and watching it at my grandparent's home. A true American Icon has left us today.
