You know when you're listening to the radio and they play a "throwback" and you yell at the DJ "What are you taking about that's not a throwback! That song, like, just came out!" Well, chances are it didn't just come out. You probably just lost track of time and don't want to admit to yourself that your favorite college jam is now considered a throwback, don't worry, it happens to all of us.

So, get ready to feel old as we take a little walk down memory lane and listen to ten songs that are turning 10 years old in 2017.

    "Umbrella"

    Rihanna feat. Jay-Z

I need an umbrella to catch these tears I'm crying after realizing it's been ten years since Rihanna made it impossible to say the word "umbrella" without singing "Ella Ella Ayy Ayy" afterwards.

    "Apologize"

    Timbaland feat. OneRepublic

Is it too late to apologize for making this list and making you feel old? Just don't think about that time 10 years ago when your gf broke up with you, so you laid in bed listening to this song on repeat on your iPod Nano cursing her name.

    "Crank That (Soulja Boy)"

    Soulja Boy Tell 'Em

Before anyone taught you how to Dougie, before you did the Mannequin Challenge, even before you dabbed your little heart out, you cranked that Soulja Boy. Yes, you've been cranking that Soulja Boy for 10 years.

    "Gimme More"

    Britney Spears

This was when Britney made her first comeback. This was when you and your girls played "Gimme More" on repeat while you pre-gamed before this bars. And, unfortunately, this was 10 years ago. I know it's hard to believe, but don't even get me started on how old "Baby One More Time" is, because that is truly depressing.

    "Girlfriend"

    Avril Lavigne

The day Avril ditched the tie and dyed her hair pink will forever live in infamy. When this video came out girls everywhere ran to their closet to cut there baggy "Sk8er Boi" style jeans into "Girlfriend" status booty short. Honestly, I still watch this video and wonder if I could pull of that outfit, it's so on point.

    "Independent"

Webbie feat. Lil' Boosie and Lil' Phat

"I-N-D-E-PE-N-D-E-N-T do you know what that means"? Ten years later I still don't know what that means, because I'm still mooching off my parents Netflix account, but I do know how to spell it. Seriously, I sing that line every time I spell "independent", don't lie, you do it too.

    "Glamorous"

    Fergie

While we're on the topic of spelling, I'm pretty sure the only reason I know how to spell "glamorous" is because Fergie Ferg spells it out in this song. Can you believe it's been 10 years since the self proclaimed Duchess went solo?

    "Lip Gloss"

    Lil' Mama

This song almost makes me with Kylie Jenner and he matte lipstick never became popular. There was just something about ultra-shiny, super sticky lips that made every girl feel like they ruled the world, or at least the school.

    "This Is Why I'm Hot"

    MIMS

In 2011 I saw MIMS preform at a club and I remember thinking "This Is Why I'm Hot" was a throwback then, but now the song is 10 years old and I feel myself wishing I was doing the "THIS IS MY JAM" scream with my friends when the DJ puts it on.

    "Misery Business"

    Paramore

Why, yes. Yes, I did have a Paramore shirt, and I feel like you're lying to yourself if you say you're not a little jealous. "Misery Business" was that song that made everyone feel a little bit more hard core then they really were.  But it was totally cool because the song was on Top 40 radio, so even the kids rocking polo's with popped collars and Abercrombie 8 perfume felt a little punk.
