Baseball season is back in full-swing, but things didn't start so well during the Atlanta Braves Opening Day ceremonies. During a fireworks display before the player's introductions, the American flag was set on fire by the pyrotechnics display.

I may not have my degree in engineering, but even I could tell you that the fireworks display was just a little too close to the flag. Did they not take into consideration that the fireworks could set the flag on fire?

Luckily no one was injured during this malfunction, but we hope the Braves organization considers this a lesson learned.

So far this year we have seen a coach break his leg during the ceremonial first pitch, we have seen a swarm of bees delay a game, and now fireworks set the American flag on fire. Not a good start to the 2014-15 baseball season.
