The Father Of Suspected Sandy Hook Gunman Speaks Out
As the nation continues to mourn the tragedy from Sandy Hook Elementary School, we are now learning more and more about the details of that very tragic day. It seems like investigators are beginning to piece things together, and now family members of both the victims and the perpetrator are speaking out.
Peter Lanza, the father of the suspected shooter at the school in Newton Connecticut, has released a statement, and like so many of us, he too can't seem to understand why this happened. His son is accused of killing 20 elementary children, six school staff members, and his own mother in the deadly rampage this past Friday.
We have recently learned through the ongoing investigation that the suspected shooter fatally shot himself in the school when he heard first responders rapidly approaching him.
