The Weeknd has partnered with Puma to release his own shoe and clothing line. The singer announced the partnership on social media earlier today (Sept. 29).

"Excited to announce my partnership with @puma #RunTheStreets #IGNITEevoKNIT," The Weeknd wrote on Instagram. "Also excited to release my PumaXO shoe and clothing line in 2017."

The Weeknd's announcement comes amid the promotion of his new album Starboy, which is scheduled to be released on Nov. 25. The singer recently described the influences on the LP in an interview with VMAN magazine.

"There are new inspirations on this album... The production feels aggressive but still sexy," The Weeknd said. "The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced."

The Weeknd has continued the push for his highly anticipated album by releasing a music video for the title track. The song, which also serves as the LP's lead single, features acclaimed duo Daft Punk.

Fans will have a chance to see The Weeknd perform "Starboy" very soon as he is scheduled to be musical guest on this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live. The performance will be The Weeknd's fourth appearance on SNL. Back in March, the singer assisted Future with his performance of "Low Life" on the sketch show.
