How good is McDonald's McRib sandwich? Well, this Santa Clarita, California woman and her family have built a holiday tradition around this tasty fan favorite slathered in tangy barbecue sauce and topped with slivered onions and tart pickles, all on a hoagie style bun (McDonald's own description!). But the McDonald's in her town, sadly, decided to NOT carry the sandwich this season.

The woman (who pronounced her name ZANthee pahaROOhoo) appeared before the Santa Clarita City Council to ask if they could persuade the local McDonald's to carry the sandwich.  According to her testimony, every Thanksgiving her family

would, like, order a 50-piece chicken McNuggets and, like, 10 McRibs. It was like, like a tradition in our family and now it's like, like, my family's holiday spirit is messed up and broken.

Look, I love the McRib (hold the onions, extra pickles, please).  And, I love my family. I also understand non-traditional traditions (did I say that right?). But, instead of going to City Hall to ask the council to put pressure on the local franchisee, I think that I would road-trip it to the nearest McDonald's that does sell new  the McRib, and make the trip part of the tradition!  Imagine the stories you could pass on to your grandkids about how you had to drive to the McDonald's on Riverside Drive in North Hollywood just to celebrate your Thanksgiving tradition. 21 miles of trudging through California traffic!

Sorry, I got carried away with the simplicity of the solution to this lady's problem.  Anyway, enjoy the video!
