Update:

NYPD confirms that one person has been killed:

Original Story:

A shooting has occurred tonight (May 25) during T.I.'s show at New York City's Irving Plaza. Details are still incoming, but ABC reports four people were injured. One 34-year-old man was shot in the chest and a 33-year-old man was shot in the abdomen. Both are in critical condition.

Bianca Torres, the managing editor of XXL who was in attendance at the show, was told by a Irvington Plaza security that they received orders from the police to evacuate the building. Officers at the scene say they don't know what occurred just yet and are still investigating.

Despite what other news outlets reported an XXL source says there were no metal detectors at Irving Plaza and security's protocol was very laid back, "There were no metal detectors. I have a big a** bag, they didn't even check inside it," says Bianca Torres.  "I could have had a baby in my bag and no one would've even known."

One man told CBS“It was about to go on. We saw, like, two people up on the VIP arguing, and then everybody started running because they heard the shots,” one woman said. “It was terrifying. We just kept running with everybody else because they were running for their lives, so we just started running, and I fell, and I got stomped on a little bit. My shoe came off.”

No rappers were performing at the time of the incident, but T.I., Uncle Murda, Maino and Dave East were set to take the stage when the shooting occurred. PNB Rock just finished performing 30 minutes before shots were fired into the crowd.

More details are incoming and XXL will update this post as we learn more. Reps for T.I. are referring all inquiries to the NYPD.
