Timbaland Teases New Michael Jackson Project
When Michael Jackson was alive, he collaborated with some of the biggest producers in music, including Quincy Jones and Teddy Riley. Now comes word that Timbaland will bring his producing magic to a posthumous MJ project.
In an interview with Revolt TV, Timbo reveals that he's working on a collaborative album with the late King of Pop. As he tells it, Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid approached him about the secretive project.
“To even go bigger would be two kings working together,” he explains. “L.A. Reid came to my house. He’s like, ‘I got something big I wanna do.’”
As far as what the music will entail, Timbaland would only say what the first single would be.
“I could tell you the first single is gonna be the song ‘Chicago,’ but I’ma set it up right,” he said.
We'll have to wait until the full interview is released to find out what this mysterious MJ project is all about.
In any case, Timbaland understands that he follows a lineage of incredible producers who gave Michael some of the most classic songs of his career. But the Virginia native seems up for the challenge.
"So now it's my turn, watch me go," he said.
