Update:

Drake's producer Boi-1da responds to Tory's recent shots at Drake:

Original Story:

Yesterday (Aug. 10), Tory Lanez sits down for interviews with Washington D.C.'s two major hip-hop and R&B stations 93.9 WKYS and WPGC 95.5. When asked about Drake during each conversation, Lanez replies that he's better than Drizzy.

It's obvious that he's brimming with confidence, and when constantly hit with questions about Drake, Tory is taking the purely competitive road.

It's now become fairly common for Lanez to take shots at Drizzy. Prior to his D.C. visit, Lanez was in Philadelphia for a tour stop. While in the City of Brotherly Love, the 24-year-old Toronto native popped up in a video saying, "Real Toronto niggas out here in Philly. Not them other guys ... Unlike you, I’m good in Philly, nigga." Obviously, Lanez was referencing the Drake / Meek Mill beef.

This past June, Lanez went on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning for an extensive interview, in which they discussed his feelings toward the 6 God.

Tory said, "At the end of the day, there’s never going to be a personal problem, ‘cuz I don’t know that man. It’s just one of those situations where, the only thing that’s ever going to lie in between us is that we can’t share first place. And I’m the only guy that’s bold enough to really come and take that right now.”

He continues, “I’m here to compete. I’m here to be number one. I’m here to be the greatest. And anybody standing in the way — whether it’s [Drake] or anybody — it’s gotta go the way it’s gotta go, and I’m not gonna stop until I get that ... I said I was a fan of his music before. No one’s ever took that from him. That doesn’t mean that I’m not here to take that crown. What do you think this is? What, do you think I’m here to be second place, brother?”

Lanez' debut album I Told You drops on Aug. 19. Keep it locked to XXL for more Tory Lanez news.
