Travis Scott was on hand during Game 5 of the NBA Western Conference Finals on Thursday (May 24) between the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors to honor the survivors of the Santa Fe High School shooting.

The Rodeo rapper, who's a Texas native and Rockets fan, appeared at center court with Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta before the game tipped off to offer some words of support for the students. After having the arena turn the lights on the students who were sitting in the crowd, the rapper said, "To the Santa Fe seniors, to the amazing officers, to the principals, we love you. Y'all the strongest people on this Earth. Thank you for being the heroes for all of us."

Fertitta also showed his support for the students and first responders, telling the survivors, "All my Galvenston County and Santa Fe friends, were thinking of you. We're so glad you're here with us tonight. We so think about the loss that happened last week. And we're just here to support y'all."

The Rockets team also honored the students during the game, sporting a grey, green and yellow Santa Fe HS patch on their jersey. The team shared a message ahead of the game, revealing the patch and posted "#SantaFeStrong."

The shooting at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas occurred on May 18, when 17-year-old student Dimitrios Pagourtzis opened fire on his classmates and teachers, killing eight students and two teachers. The ages of the victims ranged from 15 years old to 64 years old.
