Travis Scott Performs “Sicko Mode,” Dances in Skit on ‘SNL'

Following Kanye West's controversial appearance on Saturday Night Live last weekend, Travis Scott made his debut on the long-running sketch comedy show on Oct. 6. La Flame didn't disappoint in his musical sets and even provided some laughs by participating in a skit.

For his first musical set, the Texas entertainer performed a medley of the Astroworld tracks "Skeletons" and "Astrothunder." Travis was backed by Mike Dean, who played the keys, and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and John Mayer playing guitar. For an added visual effect, a woman sat solemnly on a carousel horse.

For his second set, Trav brought forth the fan-favorite track "Sicko Mode." The performance featured a smokey stage, light show and dizzying 360 degree camera views. It also contained a visual DJ Screw homage.

Scott wasn't done there. He also participated in a hilarious dance battle sketch where he played the role of renowned back-up dancer Lil Bang Bang and ended up stealing the show.

La Flame's performance received rave reviews from The Roots drummer Questlove who tweeted how impressed he was with the set. "Been going to #SNL for 9 years now. Seeing that fog/ice lazer reflection jawn in person for @trvisXX was hands down one of the best stage design presentations I’ve ever seen—-and I seen," he posted on Twitter.

Travis' eventful weekend actually started on Friday (Oct. 5), when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On the show, Trav talked about the origins of his stage name and reminisced about his days as thespian in high school. He also participated in a Jamba Juice taste challenge.
