Trinidad James has been only been rapping for about 11 months, but with help from the viral success of his hit single 'All Gold Everything,' the ATL rapper has managed to become one of the hottest names in hip-hop. Earlier today, our sources confirmed that Def Jam made an investment into that name - signing Trinidad James for a reported $2 million dollar deal.

Trinidad James joins an already-impressive cast, as Def Jam boasts some of music's biggest names, including Kanye West, Rihanna, Frank Ocean, 2 Chainz, Big Sean and more. The reaction on Twitter has been somewhat divided. Some are congratulating James on the deal, while - as you would expect - others are hating.

Regardless of what anyone thinks, Trinidad James has only been rapping for 8-10 months, dropped a mixtape that contained 10 songs over the duration of about 30 minutes, and today he signed a $2 million deal with one of the biggest empire's in the music world.

He hasn't made any official mention on his Twitter page, but I'd say Trinidad James is doing just fine.
