Trooper Vincent To Donate Organs, Seven Matches Found

Trooper Steven Vincent's family has decided to donate his organs to those who are desperate need. 

Trooper Vincent was shot while on duty near Belle Chasse, Louisiana and ultimately succumbed to the injures. Now, because of Trooper Vincent's family, several lives will be saved.

On Monday, there was a flag raising ceremony held at Lake Charles Memorial Health System honoring their decision. So far, seven organ transplant matches have been identified. Yes, Trooper Vincent may be gone, but he is continuing his service to the area through his family's decision to have his organs donated.

The suspect who shot the trooper, Kevin Daigle, was taken down by a few good Sumatrans and later apprehended by the Louisiana State Police.
