Safety barricades barely saved the lives of two people at a donut shop over the weekend as a driver (suspected of being impaired) drove off of the roadway, striking the front of the business.

The front of the Donut Star donut shop, in Auburn, Washington, suffered major damage as a result of the crash this past Friday. While traveling at a high rate of speed, the truck straightens the curve and then slides into the safety barricades in front of the shop.

One patron walking up to the entrance was able to safely scoot inside, out of harm's way, but the other patron appears to have been hit by flying debris.

The accident is still under investigation.
