Rapper Tyler, The Creator is known for rocking Vans and Converse sneakers, but the West Coast MC surprised many over the weekend, when he went on social media to show off his very first pair of Air Jordan sneakers. Posing for the flashing lights at a local record shop, the "Yonkers" rapper can be seen rocking a pair of Shattered Backboard Air Jordan 1 Retro sneakers in front of a display of Flower Boy vinyl records.

Having partnered with Converse over the summer for the release of multiple footwear collaborations, Tyler's choice for wearing Jordans this weekend could be due to Converse's relationship with Nike. As a subsidiary of the Swoosh since 2003, Converse has released multiple Nike and Jordan Brand collaborations with a number of popular athletes and tastemakers.

He shared his sneakerhead moment. Tyler wrote in the photo's caption, "my furst pair." Matching the orange, black and white sneakers with a pair of camo pants, a white tee and a matching orange beanie, Tyler gave his followers a never-before-seen look with the pair of Jordans.
