UL-Lafayette Ragin Cajun Softball Team Wins The 2012 NCAA Lafayette Regional Tournament

The no.6 team in the country, the UL Ragin Cajuns Softball Team, has won the 2012 NCAA Lafayette Regional Tournament before a record breaking crowd at Lamson Park. The Cajuns took the tournament with a 6-2 win over Stanford.Up next for the Lady Cajuns, well we will have to wait and see how things play out. The Lady Cajuns will either play Arizona State in Tempe or play Syracuse here in Lafayette. The Cajuns opponent and Super Regional location will all be determined on the outcome later today over in Tempe.

The Lady Cajuns took the Regional Tournament here in Lafayette before a record setting crowd at Lamson Park. The attendance Sunday at the park was 2,729 fans.

We would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to the Lady Cajuns and their coaching staff on a job well done. Luckily for all of us, the Cajuns will continue their march towards the NCAA College Softball World Series and we will be with them the entire way.
