Here's something we don't see in Lafayette everyday, police rescued a dog from a lake at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

According to UL's Facebook page, the dog jumped into the lake, which has alligators in it, and that's when UL sprung into action. Police were able to get into a boat and retrieve the pup.

The chase lasted 30-minutes, but the dog was rescued, dried, fed, and returned to it's owner. We salute UL Police for responding so quickly to this call and for rescuing the pup from Cypress Lake.
