The two men responsible for vandalizing and damaging a piano at Carpe Diem! in Downtown Lafayette have apologized for their actions and will pay for all of the damage that they are responsible for.

The two men vandalized the property early Sunday morning, and were later arrested by police on the campus of UL for a separate incident. Police were able to identify the two men from the video, and they have since agreed to pay for all the damage to the piano and building.

The manager of the Carpe Diem! says that the young men contacted them early this week, and that they have accepted their apology. The manager tells KATC, "We believe in forgiveness and understand people make mistakes."

The estimated cost to cover the damage is $400.
