Vote for Lafayette in Best of the South Poll

If you love Lafayette, then you need to make your voice heard by voting.

Lafayette is one of the places being featured in AAA Southern Traveler’s “Best of the South” annual poll. If you want Lafayette to win, you need to vote.

There are several categories to vote on:

• Favorite big city
• Favorite small town
• Best place to unwind and relax
• Best bowl of gumbo
• Best fried chicken
• Best catfish

Kelly Strenge with the Lafayette Convention and Visitor's Commission says Lafayette is in the running for the South’s best place to eat.  We are facing competition from the following areas:

• Biloxi, Mississippi
• Dallas, Texas
• Little Rock, Arkansas
• New Orleans, Louisiana
• Savannah, Georgia

We have so much to live up to, as Lafayette has received many honors in the past few years:

• Lafayette was been named Best Food City (Rand McNally/USAToday, 2011)
• Tastiest Town of the South (Southern Living, 2012)
• A Top 10 Foodie City (Livability.com, 2013)
