Wale’s ‘Summer on Sunset’ Tape Debuting on DJ Khaled’s ‘We the Best Radio’

DJ Khaled landed a big exclusive for tonight's (June 17) edition of We the Best Radio. Wale went on Instagram today to announce that he will be premiering his new mixtape Summer on Sunset on the Beats 1 Radio. The D.C. rapper will also serve as Khaled's co-host for the show. We the Best Radio kicks off at 8pm EST on Beats Radio.

Even with a new mixtape on the way, Wale still managed to drop another new track earlier today. The Maybach Music Group artist unleashed a short song called "Back to the Sun" that clocks in at under two minutes.

It's been a busy couple of days for Wale as he was just on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last night (June 16) as the musical guest. The rapper was there to perform his new single "My P.Y.T." which he dropped a few weeks ago. The DMV rhymer had only announced his new Summer on Sunset mixtape just a few days before this performance.

"My P.Y.T." serves as the first single for Wale's upcoming album SHINE, so don't expect to see it appear on the Summer on Sunset mixtape when it drops tonight. Wale's next LP will be his fifth studio album and fourth under the Maybach Music Group banner.

The new tape and album aren't the only projects Wale will be releasing this year. Fans can expect him to play a major role in the next MMG compilation Self Made 4 which is due out in 2016.
