The streak is over for Kerry Walsh-Jennings.

Playing in her fourth Olympics, Walsh-Jennings lost a match for the first time at the Olympics as she and teammate April Ross were beaten by the second seeded Brazilian team of  Agetha and Barbara, 22-20, 21-18.

They'll face the German team of Laura Ludwig and Kira Wallkenhorst, who stunned the top-seeded Brazilian team of Talita and Larissa in straight sets, 21-18, 21-12.

The Americans, seeded third, struggled to return serve in the first set, as Brazil notched four aces in taking a 22-20 win.

The US Women's Volleyball team had no problems in their quarterfinal match with Japan, winning in straight sets.

The US Women's Basketball team led by only ten points at halftime, but then coasted to a 110-64 win over Japan to advance to the semifinals.  Maya Moore and Diana Taurasi each scored 19 points as the US placed seven in double figures.

The Americans went 1-2 in the triple jump as Christian Taylor took the gold medal, while teammate Will Claye won the silver.
