Warren G And Kenny G Team Up For ‘Mashup Monday’ Version Of ‘Regulate’ On ‘Kimmel’
Rapper Warren G and saxophonist Kenny G joined forces for a #MashupMonday version of 'Regulate' on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The 1994 classic was the final performance in a monthlong #MashupMonday series that paired up acts like Weezer and ZZ Top (Wee-Z-Top), Morris Day and the Time and Haim (Morris Day And The Haim), and Aloe Blacc and Blackstreet (Aloe Blaccstreet).
The original was already smoothed out with the sample of Michael McDonald's "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)" and the late Nate Dogg's smooth vocals, but Kenny G brought a whole new vibe to the track with complicated runs on his soprano saxophone.
Let's hope Kimmel brings this Mashup Monday series back.
