Week 1 LSWA Football Polls

The Acadiana area is well-represented in the initial high school football polls of 2018.

9 teams from the Acadiana area teams are ranked in the respective LSWA high school football polls, the first of the year, which were released on Tuesday morning.

In Class 5A, Acadiana is ranked 9th, while St. Thomas More is #3 in the 4A poll.

In Class 3A, Kaplan is third, while Church Point and Northwest are 5th, and 10th, respectively.

In the Class 2A poll, Notre Dame is ranked second, with Catholic High-New Iberia checking in a tie at the number four spot.

Finally, in the Class A poll, Lafayette Christian is ranked #4, while Vermilion Catholic is #9.
