What are the Lyrics to the ‘Macarena’ Really About? [VIDEO]

You probably know the dance, and I'm sure you sing "Ayyy Macarena" at the top of you lungs, but what is the "Macarena" really about?

The "Macarena" was my jam! Before people were doing the Whip/Nae Nae or Hitting the Quan, they were dancing the "Macarena". You couldn't go to a school dance without getting your "Macarena" on! You ask any '90s kid to do the "Macarena" and they will dance it to perfection, it's basically the only thing us '90s kids learned in school.

And now, as I sit here watching this video and really listening to the lyrics I feel a little sad that my favorite childhood song is about a girl who is cheating on her boyfriend with two guys. Yeah, you read that correctly, the "Macarena" is about a sneaky lady that sleeps with two or her BF's friends while he's out of town. I'm pretty sure I used to do the "Macarena" while skating around the gym during elementary school roller skating parties! How was that allowed?
