We figured there would eventually be an auction for Whitney Houston's belongings, but didn't think it would be this soon!  So far the dress that Whitney Houston wore in "The Bodyguard," along with the earrings, will be going up for sale next week.According to Yahoo auctioneer Darren Julien, the pieces and other Houston items became available after the singer unfortunately passed on Feb. 11.  It seems that most items that celebrities own normally become available to the public once they pass, but I'm sure you will have to pay A LOT of money(that's a given).  I'm sure a lot of people would love to have these items, but is it too soon to put them up for auction?  Julien doesn't seem to think so,

If you hide these things in fear that you're going to offend someone — her life is to be celebrated. These items are historic now that she passed. They become a part of history. They should be in museums. She's lived a life and had a career that nobody else has ever had."

Julien thinks this is a great way for people who have never meet her,

For people who are fans of Whitney Houston and never would have had a chance to meet her and never got to talk to her, these are items that literally touched a part of her life. They are a way to relate to her or be a part of her life without having known her."

The black dress that is being sold is priced at $1,000, but will easily go for a lot more.  The vest that she wore in "The Bodyguard" will go at a whopping $600.  So with the prices, who is going shopping anytime soon?
