In a recent study, it was found that ladies prefer to date guys that are six years their senior...yes, ladies want older men in their lives!!! WhatsYourPrice, a dating site that lets singles buy and sell first dates, conducted a five month study, and found that the first dates on their site show that ladies are taking out older men, rather than men their age or younger. The company's CEO attributes this to different levels of maturity, which makes a lot of sense. Common wisdom says that women mature faster than men, at least in terms of wanting commitment. The study found that men can bridge the age gap—they just have to dig into their pockets to do it. On WhatsYourPrice.com, men who wanted to date women more than 10 years younger needed to pay 13 percent more for the date in order to gain female interest.

As we age, the importance of our age seems to matter less, especially in terms of dating. At 16, dating someone even two or three years older was a big deal — and often looked down upon in society. But when you're 28, dating a 34-year-old is completely normal.

All in all, I am not really surprised in the findings here. Women do mature quicker than we guy, and yes, they want a partner that is on their level of maturity. Too often, guys don't grow up quick enough, thus women their age look ahead and chose to date someone older, who is more mature. As for men, look at who they date. More often than not, a male is married to or dating someone that is younger than he. Ladies, would you all agree with this study, or does age really not make difference in who you date?
