Young Buck has been through many trials and tribulations in his music career. In 2014, the Cashville rapper reenlisted with G-Unit to release 'The Beauty of Independence’ EP. Now Buck returns with a mission statement on his latest freestyle track, ‘New Years Cake.’

Over Drake’s ‘Pound Cake’ instrumental, Buck announces his plans to go dolo and scoop up as much cash as he can in 2015.

“I guess y'all love me again / These R&B bitches want to come f--- me again / They like ‘Damn Buck, where the f--- have you been?’ / At the bank, can't pull out what you ain't put in,” he raps at the beginning of the song.

The G-Unit soldier also gives a shout out to Big Meech and Bobby Shmurda, both of whom are currently incarcerated, as well as the deceased martyr Mike Brown.

“I’m on some hold ya head up Bobby Shmurda s--- / I’m on some St. Louis Mike Brown murder s--- / And y’all just worrying about the next pair of Jordans / I’m in this project closet recording,” he spits.

It’s good to hear that Young Buck is still on his grind. Hopefully, we’ll hear more music from him this year -- whether it’s on the solo tip or with his G-Unit brethren.
