Just last week, Zayn Malik came under fire for premiering the artwork for his upcoming solo debut Mind of Mine — it looked suspiciously similar to Lil Wayne’s 2008 release Tha Carter III, leaving many to wonder whether it was an homage, a blatant rip-off or mere coincidence.

But consider that controversy officially squashed. Shortly after defending himself on Twitter, Zayn enlisted Lil Wayne's help to create an expletive-filled remix of the track which dropped yesterday (February 25), just ahead of the release of Zayn’s latest music video for second single “It’s You.”

The best part? Despite Zayn’s assurance last week that he has zero intentions of becoming a rapper, he does spit a verse on the remix (the risque new lyrics include, "I f---k her ten times cause I don't get bored." Goodbye, One Direction ties.). Check it out above.

In addition to the black-and-white music video, Zayn offered fans another treat: Mind of Mine is officially available for pre-order through iTunes. Those who order ahead of time can expect to receive immediate downloads of current singles “Pillowtalk” and “It’s You,” the latter of which is about his relationship with former fiancee Perrie Edwards, according to an interview Zayn did with Zane Lowe. Watch the "It's You" video here.

Mind of Mine doesn't come out until March 25, but according to the iTunes track list it's set to be a pretty hefty release. There appear to be 18 tracks on the deluxe edition, while the original has a still-ambitious 14 tracks. Head over to iTunes to pre-order the album.
