There are so many things that we see on a daily basis, and have no clue that there is a name for that "thing." Right now, within arms reach of your computer while you read this, there is an item, that has a name, and you don't know it. Buzzfeed has compiled a list of 25 Everyday Things You Never Knew Had Names, and it is awesome.

I had no idea the metal thingy on a pencil that holds the eraser on is called a ferrule. I've never heard of a tittle, or a Brannock Device .. but I've seen and used both before.
