43 LSU Tigers on NFL Rosters as Season Kicks Off Tonight

Forty-three former LSU football players have made the opening weekend NFL roster as the league begins regular-season play tonight when the Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers.

Of the 43 former Tigers on NFL rosters, 40 are on active rosters (53-man squad), two are on the practice squad (Sam Montgomery, Craig Loston) and one player (Trindon Holliday) is on the injured reserve. LSU has at least one player on 25 of the 32 NFL teams.

Cincinnati’s roster has four former Tigers, the most of any team, while three LSU players are with the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals.
