50 Cent Visits Disabled Fan in Philadelphia

50 Cent came under fire this week after he posted a video of him making fun of an autistic man to social media and is now trying to make up for his act. Yesterday (May 5), Fif donated $100,000 to Autism Speaks, an autism advocacy group, and now more accounts of the Queens, N.Y. rapper showing his compassionate side are starting to emerge.

According to a report from TMZ, Fifty visited a fan who suffers from reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome, a disease that causes chronic pain and confines the man to a bed, weeks before the video of the rapper making fun of the autistic man surfaced.

The story goes that while the rapper was in Philly, a man named Chris Brown (no relation to the singer) was getting married at the same hotel where 50 was staying. Brown approached the Get Rich or Die Tryin' MC and asked him if he would visit his bed-ridden brother Justin who was in a room at the hotel. Later on in the day, Fif showed up solo and talked to Justin for 90 minutes.

The good deed doesn't fall in line with his current actions, but it may go to show that Fifty's airport shenanigans may have been a blip on the radar instead of the norm.

Along with the $100 grand donation he made to Autism Speaks, Fif released a statement asking other figures in entertainment to follow suit.

“I want to turn this misunderstanding into an understanding. There are people that are ignored, mistreated and neglected with disabilities that need our support. Today, I have made a donation of $100,000 to this worthy cause through Autism Speaks. I am calling on my fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can.”
