(Patterson, Louisiana) - BREAKING NEWS, according to multiple residents of Patterson, Louisiana, and KWBJ TV 22 a plane has crashed in the sugar cane fields on Zenor Road across the street from the Patterson airport

According to KWBJ TV 22, the plane was in the process of taking off, when it crashed in the sugar cane fields. This occurred around 3:20 pm- 3:35 pm and first responders were on the scene. The fire department, the sheriff's department, the Acadiana Ambulance, and the coroner's office were all on the scene. As of now, we don't know of any injuries or deaths but we will keep you up to date. Currently, the fire department is actively trying to put out all of the fires in sugar cane fields.

A local radio station in Patterson was live-streaming from the scene and the aftermath of the crash.
