Actor Gary Sinise Surprised With Emotional ‘Thank You’ Video From Celebrities + People He’s Helped
Gary Sinise, who played Lt. Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump, among many other iconic movie and television roles, has worked almost constantly to help people in the armed forces and EMS for many years.
He created the Gary Sinise Foundation which raises almost $30 million dollars a year for active-duty servicemen and women, veterans, first responders + their families + caregivers, and others in need.
He often shows up at USO shows playing with the Lt. Dan Band. He has been named an honorary U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer - August 2012 - and he was named an honorary Marine by the Commandant of the Marine Corps - August 2013.
Here, he is asked to sit down and watch a clip, but has no idea what he is about to watch.
Gary Sinise just seems like a guy that makes everyone around him feel good, because he is that good of a person. So, to say that he deserves these 'Thank you's' is an understatement.
And when you see the numerous and caliber of celebrities, as well as those men and women that he's helped in the video, you kind of get the impact he's had.
